Shaun of the Dead (2004) is a British horror-comedy film directed by Edgar Wright and written by Wright and Simon Pegg. The film is celebrated as a cult classic, often described as a “rom-zom-com” (romantic zombie comedy) that perfectly balances humor, genuine heart, and gory horror. It is the first entry in the “Three Flavours Cornetto” trilogy, followed by Hot Fuzz and The World’s End.
