The Big Lebowski (1998) is a cult classic Coen brothers comedy about Jeffrey “The Dude” Lebowski, a laid-back, unemployed stacker in Los Angeles who gets mistaken for a millionaire with the same name. After nihilists and thugs harass him over his namesake’s wife’s debt, the Dude—along with his bowling buddies Walter and Donny—is dragged into a chaotic, absurd kidnapping plot.
